F559C Oak Pepsin Gum Counter top Display Case
This is a counter-top curved display case from the days of the old country or general store. It is made of oak and curved glass. The front glass is curved and is etched on the inside, it reads: J.P. PRIWLEY'S / CALIFORNIA FRUIT AND PEPSIN / CHEWING GUM.
It has a hinged door on the back which is mirrored to make for a great display cabinet! The case has the original brass tag that reads: J. RISWIG /
CHICAGO. The frame is oak. There is one small crack in the side panel of the glass. Measures 9 1/2" tall, 18 1/2" wide and 12 1/2" deep. Circa 1900.
This show case was in the Drug Store owned by Bill and Jo McKinley. This
store was in Praire View, Kansas.. They owned there store from about
1925-45 They sold the store to Albert Harbers who around 1988-90 sold all
the fixtures. Who at that time Zella McKinley Roeder bought this case because
she wanted something from their family store. - $1100. Holiday
