F483B 72" Oak Heavy Paneled 'S' Roll Top Desk
Fancy heavy paneled 72" wide quarter sawn oak roll top desk. This beautiful desk measures 72" wide, is 38" deep, and stands 53" high. This desk has all the extras including a full interior with each compartment having a drawer. The compartment where one sits up to the desk is very roomy and measures 36" wide. The desk has it's original manufacture key cover that reads, 'The Gunn Desk - Grand Rapids Michigan'. This particular desk was shipped directly from the Gunn Desk company to Sioux City, Nebraska and then the desk was purchased and used by an attorney in the Lyons, Nebraska area. We acquired the desk through the John Young Estate at Lyons Nebraska. He was an attorney in Lyons for 50 plus years. The daughter Connie sold the desk. Her father's business had been in Lyons, Nebraska at 125 N. 2nd St.
The desk is built with quality and is in the original finish. Note that the desk
top surface 1 1/2" thick as is the top of the desk. The sides of the desk are even a little thicker measuring 1 5/8" thickness.
