F353B Mahogany Victorian Ladies Cylinder Secretary
This is an early Victorian ladies cylinder secretary. Beautiful mahogany wood with a beveled mirror and stylish cut out design in the crown and gallery portion. An unusual feature of this secretary desk is the mechanism that is triggered when you raise the roll and the desk portion slides out towards you. Likewise, when you pull the roll down the writing surface retracts back into the main body portion of the secretary. This secretary stands 61" high, is 26" wide and is 19" deep. When opened the writing surface is 14 1/2" deep, and 21 1/2" wide. There is four drawers for storage. This is a beautiful Victorian piece of Eastlake transition. - SOLD
