F154C Large Oak Bookcase - triple door
This is a Rare & Monumental Quartered Oak Bookcase . This outstanding cabinet has three doors divided by round fluted columns. The crown is very decorative and covers the full length of the bookcase. Will break down into 3 sections plus the crown. The outside doors have carved panels on the bottoms. Both outside sections step out & up from the center section. The center door has deep relief carving of Griffins & Vines. The drawer is dovetailed. Original Brass hardware. Note the Escutcheon on the Middle Door with the Lion's Mouth being a Key Hole. The interior has quarter sawn oak back panels. There are adjustable shelves. Original wooden double castors. The castors have a Patent Dates of 1877 & 1884. Measures Height: 89" Width: 72" Depth: 18.5". Circa 1880's - $12,500.
