F149C Diamond Dye Advertising Oak Cabinet
Very good all original condition on this old antique country store advertising cabinet that would have been used in a country store to dispense dye packets for Diamond Dyes. The embossed tin front depicts children playing jump rope out in front of the steps of a lovely Victorian home. The wordage on the front reads, 'The Standard package Dyes of the World'. Notice that the slotted interior also still has it's original paper labels defining the different colors intact. The cabinet can be accessed by either the front or backside as both sides are hinged. The backside of the cabinet also has an original advertising tin insert. This tin has detailed information regarding the usage of Diamond Dyes and notice that Wells & Richardson Company of Burlington, Vermont, U.S.A. were Manufactures of Diamond Package Dyes. This oak cabinet has some wear to the finish, but is in good original condition and measures 15 1/2" wide 8 1/2" deep and stands 24 1/2" high. This piece would make an excellent addition to any fine country store advertising collection.
