D016A Porcelain Pin Cushion Half Doll

This is an excellent pincushion half doll. She is signed 'Germany 14282'. The doll is delicately done with her hands coming completely away from the doll's body. Also note how she is holding a card or a love letter in her hand. This is a fine featured doll with her original crocheted dress. We found this doll in the book titled, 'Patricia Smith's Album of All Bisque Dolls - Identification & Value Guide', on page 58, plate 125. This doll is referred to as ' The Love Letter'. This doll measures 7" high and at the base she is 5" in diameter. This doll is a 5" high doll for the porcelain portion. The markings on this doll show that this doll was made by 'Carl Schneider - The mark is a 'G' with two lines through it, Germany and D.E.P.' This is a wonderful half doll that would be a wonderful addition to any fine collection. - $550.
