(click on pictures to get better view then click on back button to return) CRB001 Oak Sherer Seed Grain Counter- Beautiful quarter sawn oak wood in this all original country store seed counter made by it's maker, 'Sherer'. One side of the counter has divided windows that would display what was hidden in each drawer on the opposite side of the counter. Each bin drawer has a cast iron pull handle with the name Sherer on them. These old counters like this are very scarce so many have been cut down over the years let alone survived. Circa 1900. This wonderful country store counter was made by the Sherer Gillett Company of Chicago Illinois. This cabinet measures 11 feet and 11 3/4 length, by 28 3/4" depth and 33 3/4" height. There is a slab of marble that was used over the top 2 pieces. They are 78" X 30" X 1 1/4" and 67 3/4" X 30" X 1 1/4". This counter was originally purchased from a country store in St. Louis Missouri in the 1950's and owned by Marvin Bueneman.
