CLD001  Victorian  Renaissance Walnut Bedroom Set

The condition of the bed is good. It has been refinished. The footboard had a carved piece at one time before we got the bed that was in the upper middle area and would have probably matched the one (leaves and flowers) under the crest on the headboard and on the dresser. Other than that, all of the other pieces are intact. The carved pieces on the side rails next to headboard and footboard are removable and not permanently attached to side rails. The upper third of the headboard can be detached for moving. No casters on the bed but has the insert holes for them. Nothing written on the bed or dresser to indicate the maker or lineage of the set.

 The condition of the dresser is good. The weight of the center marble piece causes the middle to sag slightly and prompted the finished wood to crack on the inside of the drop center. I'm assuming that it was filled/repaired when it was refinished. All marble is original.  It has the original dog bone pulls and a hidden slipper drawer. All of the burl is solid on both pieces.
