C168C Mahogany Dining Set - Table Chairs Buffet
This is a solid mahogany round pedestal table made by Berkley and Gay of
Grand Rapids Michigan. This large table is in good original finish with no
damage to the wood. The table has a split pedestal with a hidden center leg that
offers support when the seven leaves are added. Two of the leaves are skirted to
match the table the leaves are 12" wide. There is a wood rack that holds
all seven leaves for storage. The table is 60" Diameter, 29" Height
and will expand to 12 feet. The locking mechanism works well. There is a
furniture label that reads Berkley & Gay Furniture. Circa 1900. This table
will make a beautiful dining room table or will work wonderful as a conference
table.
This mahogany server matches the table in design. The
rectangular top with galleried back and fitted with a single drawer and mounted
on massive scroll-form standards and with platform base.The buffets
drawer has a furniture label that reads Berkley & Gay Furniture. The server
measures 48" long, 21" deep, and 34" high. Circa 1900.
The mahogany chairs are a matching set of six, with one chair being an armed chair. Chippendale style, (maker unknown) the chairs with bow cressed rail, pierced center splat, slip seats and mounted on cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. The chair upholstered is a gold rayon fabric.
The chairs are tight and in good condition with a nice finish. Chairs
measures 40" Height, the seat is 15" depth, 19" width and the
height to the floor is 19".
These three pieces came from an estate in California who were landholders
here in Nebraska. When they died the renters were offered this set and have
owned this set this present day. - SOLD
