P006A  Victorian Porcelain Man & Woman Plaque

This plaque is outstanding. Notice the molded figures as they come out away from the plaque in a three dimensional aspect. This 12 1/2" x 13" Victorian plaque is from the estate of Frances DePree of LeMars, Iowa. The figures come out away from the plaque 2 1/2" in depth. There is still part of the original paper label on the back side of this frame it reads, '611 Fifth', perhaps this is just the address of a place that framed this plaque. I do not know as this is all that there is to read. This is a beautiful piece of artwork. I did not want to remove the backing on this piece to see if there is signatures on the back of the plaque. Perhaps there is others out there that could better inform us on this piece without me having to ruin the original backing on this plaque. A great piece and notice the details in the matting of this piece. Outstanding! - $495
