All original old hanging country store scale that would weigh up to 20 pounds capacity. This scale is marked by it's maker and it reads; 'Mfd. By the Jacobs Bros. Co. Inc. - New York, U.S.A. - DetectoWate - This type Jacobs Detecto-Wate Scale approved by the director of standards for Mass.'. One just places your produce on the attached plate that hangs down from the spring scale and then the weight is shown on the Jacobs scale. This scale is in good working condition and is all original. The face of the scale measures 8 1/2" diameter and the hanging plate is 11" diameter when the scale is attached to the plate it hangs approximately 30" long.
