F276C Fine Mahogany Server - Highly Carved - Horner
The splash guard carved with a pair of winged cherubs centering a cartouche joined to the rectangular top with acanthus carved edge and bow front above the conforming frieze, the center bowed drawer carved with a fruit filed urn flanked by winged griffins and floral scrolls. The end drawers cared with fierce lion masks supported by a pair of carved bearded figures on scrolled brackets. Backboard molded and paneled all joined to a molded shelf with serpentine front raised on lion claw feet. Measures 60" height, 54" width and 21" depth. Very good original finish with fine old patina. - $12,500.
